The Roof Hatch is coated with an electrostatically applied, thermally-fused powder coat in high gloss Safety Red finish, meeting Federal Spec. #11105 for safety red warning color. This finish not only allows you to visually locate the hatch from a much greater distance than a normal primer coated hatch, but also alerts anyone on the roof that there is a roof opening nearby. Additionally, with the lid in the open position there is a specially designed visual warning signal alerting you that the hatch is open.
